Sleeping up to 8, Red Squirrel Lodge is a truly beautiful lodge in the perfect location with stunning views over the Boat of Garten golf course and to the mountains beyond.

Red Squirrel Lodge is in the perfect location with the Strathspey Steam Railway running close by, reminding you of the nostalgic days of steam.

All of this of course can be enjoyed from the luxurious outside hot tub.

Boat of Garten is a lovely village, commonly known as the Osprey village and the cycle path to Aviemore goes past the house.

The Lodge is set in the policies of a larger house, and it is truly cosy and luxurious with an outside hot tub and log-burning stove. Just curl up in front of the log stove with your favourite person. For a romantic getaway, or a great get together with friends and family, this lodge is so adaptable to your holiday needs.

Red Squirrel Lodge is just a short walk to the local pub and restaurants. There are many walks to and from the Lodge to suit all abilities, from a short 30-minute walk along the river, to longer walks around the area.

For the perfect holiday this Lodge has everything you need…and more….all bedrooms are en-suite, DVD and WiFi, Sky TV in the lounge, with Freeview Channels in the bedrooms which feature beautiful Egyptian cotton linen. All floors and furnishings are to a very high standard, and the décor features Scottish Country sport motifs.

A small lochan within the grounds is now stocked with trout and can be fished by residents. Guests can also have one free session fishing for trout by boat on the picturesque Loch Vaa, just a short drive away. 

Ground Floor
Red Squirrel Lodge is entered through a very large hallway with WC and storage cupboard. The entrance hallway has a beautiful wooden floor and staircase.  A child’s toy box is also located here.

The lounge with dining area features an open plan kitchen and the kitchen has a range cooker with gas oven and ceramic hob, there is a dishwasher and all the appliances and utensils required, whether you are just having a light snack or a formal dining experience.

There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink etc. The ground floor also has a separate WC and extra storage area.

The lounge has a cosy log stove, leather seating, and a large flat screen TV with full Sky package including Sports and Movies.  There is a DVD player and stereo system with iPod dock.

From the lounge, through french doors, you access the recently enlarged veranda and decked area, the centrepiece of which is a luxury 6-person hot tub. The veranda also has a parasol and comfortable outside seating area.

Steps down from the veranda lead to your charming private garden area where you can enjoy views over the 4th Tee of the Boat of Garten golf course and the hills beyond. The Strathspey Steam Railway puffs along past the bottom of the garden.

All en-suite bathrooms have WC and basin. Beautiful mirrors and accessories complete the luxurious finish to all the bathrooms. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space and tables and chairs. Red Squirrel Lodge has Wi-Fi Internet access.

For our younger guests the house offers a cot and highchair. We have various toys and DVDs for your use and these are used at your own discretion.
